Hike to Rifugio Schatzer − loop

Embark on the Hike to Rifugio Schatzer loop, a moderate trail offering diverse terrain and expansive mountain views. This 4.5-mile (7.2 km) route involves an elevation gain of 895 feet (273 metres) and typically takes around 2 hours and 14 minutes to complete. You will hike through ancient forests and past alpine pastures, with mostly firm paths underfoot. Some sections might require you to be sure-footed. Along the way, you can enjoy views over the eastern slopes of Mount Plose, with the Dolomites visible in the distance. Keep an eye out for the distinctive peaks of the Geisler Group and Monte Fana. The area is known for its impressive mountain scenery.

A section of the Dolomites High Route No. 2 also passes nearby, connecting Schnatzgraben and Schatzerhütte.
