Start the tour from the Guidonia Montecelio station, connected with frequent trains departing from Roma Tiburtina. You reach Marcellina with an uphill slight slope: it's an excellent warm-up before the most difficult climb of the day.

In fact, a few kilometers after leaving the town of Marcellina you start pedaling uphill. Your goal for the day is Monte Morra, one of the most loved climbs by the Roman population. Its slopes are training: you will face just under seven kilometers of uphill at an average 7%. The climb that leads to Monte Morra is generally not very busy: you will be able to fully appreciate the panoramic views of the Roman countryside. Monte Morra is an excellent place for picnics in the open air and, moreover, it is the base for climbing Monte Gennaro.

After reaching the summit of Monte Morra, go down using the same road as you came. At the stop sign, continue left towards San Polo dei Cavalieri. The road climbs again, but this time more docile. Stop for a coffee in San Polo and stroll through the alleys of the small town: its most important monument is certainly the Orsini - Cesi - Borghese castle.

Once you leave San Polo, descend through beautiful countryside full of olive groves. Pass through Tivoli: if you have time, visit one of the three villas (d'Este, Gregoriana or Adriana). Finish the tour at the Bagni di Tivoli station: from here you can take the train back to Roma Tiburtina.

Piazza Garibaldi is located at the entrance to the center of Tivoli. There are gardens much loved by children and, moreover, there is a panoramic terrace: the views of the surrounding countryside and the Lazio peaks are wonderful.
