Not as wild as the northern shore, but with a completely unobstructed view of Austria's highest bathing lake: on this tour you will experience the forest and meadow side of Lake Weissensee up close.

The Weissensee Haus bus stop in Schattseite is the starting point for the seven-kilometre hike through the southern reaches of the lake. From there you first walk up a bit and enter a shady forest path. Above the lake you hike to Praditz.

You walk around the grounds of the See-Campingplatz Müller and now follow the wide hiking trail that leads you directly along the southern shore of Lake Weissensee. Shore areas full of reeds and beautiful vantage points will then accompany you to your starting point.
