This route was planned by komoot.
Departure from the plains of Valtorta, Cai path outward on 103A and 103 for the return. Not a difficult excursion from a technical point of view, but recommended only for trained people. Both the outward and return journeys are practically two walls with a difference in altitude of 1000 metres. To be precise, the watch, which unlike the cell phone and Komoot, also calculates the various up and down, shows me 1200 meters. The outward path is one of those frequented by very few people throughout the year and crosses a valley that is still very wild. Very well signposted, however immediately after leaving the pastoral road it is easy to make a mistake and lose track. Pay close attention or help yourself with Komoot. From my point of view, both this path and that of the Valsecca are to be walked calmly and with pleasure observing the thousand panoramas, in this period, the blooms of every type and color and animals such as roe deer, deer and chamois. Valsecca is also very slippery, both due to the conformation of the land and the considerable slope. On these two paths it is difficult to meet other hikers. To bear in mind if you are walking alone. The Nicola refuge is well known and is one of my favourites, as it is open all year round. Today that I had nothing to eat, that the rain alternated with the sun, it was naturally closed. 😂
