Trail Reviews

Reisefunken
September 4, 2021, Runde über den Isskogel und das Kreuzjoch

A wonderful, demanding tour with two summit crosses and fantastic views. The hike to the Isskogel is still not very demanding and runs first on forest paths and then across a narrow path directly on the meadow. The incline is moderate and manageable. The view from the summit cross is worth the effort. Behind the Isskogel it goes a little downhill to a reservoir where the path forks. To the left it goes on in the direction of Kreuzjoch. This path is marked as black and is also really demanding. In addition, you should be free from giddiness, sure-footed and already a little experienced on the mountain. Here it goes steeply uphill on narrow paths with small climbing sections up to the ridge. The hiking trail continues over the ridge to the summit cross. At the top you can enjoy a wonderful view towards Zell and Gerlos. The descent from Kreuzjoch towards Zell via a path on the ridge is now much easier.
