This route was planned by komoot.
Nez de Jobourg, Écalgrain Bay has the highest cliffs in Normandy. We were also impressed by the blossoming of nature in May, dominated by bright yellow broom. We would have decided to walk north along the coast first. On the one hand because the travel guides usually recommend the opposite direction, but above all because we still have the sun on our backs early in the morning, so we could look at the illuminated coast. Those who only start in the afternoon should rather choose the southern route. In the village of Dannery, make sure to stop off at the Crêperie la Gravelette and hope that there is a seat available! https://maps.app.goo.gl/puW1mobC2UxpMjaZ9 http://www.lagravelette.com/ The gallette and crepes are simply irresistible. We continued through picturesque villages and a lot of green landscape. Past the Lac de Moulinet you come back to the cliffs. At least now it becomes clear that you should definitely wear sturdy shoes.
The plan today was to wait for the rain showers and then walk the beautiful rock path at Jobourg in the sun. Part 1 of the plan worked, we let the rain shower pass through on the drive. Part 2 didn't quite work out as planned, contrary to the forecast, the sky only opened up towards the end. The path was still very nice. The sea view is great. The strong wind disturbed something. In the end we were rewarded with some sun.
