Cliffs, wind, beach and waves in the far northwest of Normandy
A great hike! By chance we chose the inland route to start with. It turned out that it was the better option for me, as the GR 223, the customs officer's path, went uphill in slightly more difficult terrain. I might have had some problems going downhill. A really great tour with beautiful views in all directions. The La Gravelette crêperie in Dannery is right on the way and is worth a stop. The oysters were top-notch and the galette was great! The GR 223 is a bit rough up to the Nez du Jobourg but super beautiful! For me it was a moderate tour because of the rough part. If you're not completely free from vertigo you might have problems. Technically the route is easy except for this one part, which is a bit strenuous.
Zöllerpfad - I'm in love. Fantastic hike with magnificent views of the roaring Atlantic. PS Always go hiking with a rain jacket.
I think this is easily one of the most beautiful walks along the west coast of Normandy. It goes up and down the rocky partly green coast, on winding paths, with beautiful views of the water. If you are looking, you will find isolated accesses to the water, e.g. at the end of the tour at Baie ď Ecalgrain. There is a refreshment stop at the Nez de Voidries.
