We took bus 94 from Cardiff to Swanbridge Cross and walked from there along the coast back to Cardiff. It was low tide, so we could also go out to Sully Island. When we reached the built-up area in Penarth, the path was so boring that we took bus 88 to the pier and walked from there again.
