Discover part of the Weser cycle path as a circular route on the main and alternative routes!
Your tour starts in the equestrian town of Verden (Aller) with its old town, town hall, cathedral, Romanesque churches, the Domherrenhaus historical museum and the German Horse Museum.
On the main route of the Weser cycle path, along the lock canal past the Romanesque St. Sigismund Church in Daverden in Langwedel, the cycle path leads north of the Weser towards Achim. Shortly before that is Etelsen, known for its castle built in 1886. A few kilometers further on you reach the famous Baden mountains. According to legend, the pirate Klaus Störtebeker once hid here. The pedestrian zone is also charming. A visit to the weekly market (Wednesdays and Saturdays) is worthwhile. Other sights include the Clüverhaus, the St. Laurentius Church, the gatehouse and the farmers' quarter. Now it's over the Weser bridge to Thedinghausen. On your way you can make a detour to Erbhof Castle in Thedinghausen! The tree park is also worth seeing. Via Morsum and Blender you take the alternative route of the Weser cycle path back to Verden.
