Sarnico to Mount Bronzone

Itinerary from Sarnico to the top of Monte Bronzone, which offers unique panoramic views of Lake Iseo and the surrounding mountains.

The itinerary starts from Sarnico. From here, after the monumental cemetery, follow the signs for the Cappella degli Alpini. After a few metres, at the first crossroads, continue on an easy level path up to the building of the aqueduct and the chapel dedicated to the Virgin. Walk along a well-preserved paved path with steps in Sarnico stone until you reach the Forcella, on the slopes of Mount Faeto. From here you can enjoy an extraordinary panoramic view of Sarnico and the lower Sebino.

Following the signs for Monte Bromine on the TPC (Trans Padana Centrale) path, take a dirt road with numerous hairpin bends that leads near Colle Cambline, from which it is possible to admire a splendid panorama of Monte Bronzone and Lake Iseo.

Continue entering a splendid forest of chestnut, birch and holly following the TPC-701 path and then reaching the summit. The panorama repays the effort spent: the view sweeps undisturbed in the round towards the lake, Monte Isola, the San Fermo Hills, the Orobic Pre-Alps, Val Camonica, Monte Misma, Val Cavallina, the Po Valley and the Apennines.

For the way back, we advise you to retrace the last stretch as far as trail sign 701 and continue left to reach Monte Gombo, a site of prehistoric finds. At the lower Gombo hut you will find the TPC trail signs: from here take a well-signposted path which, bypassing the eastern slope of Mount Bromine, reaches a clearing at the junction with path 701 to finally continue on the TPC up to the starting point.
