This prehistoric route starts and ends in the Gelderland town of Lochem and covers a distance of 59 kilometers. During this trip you will discover the traces of a rich history, while enjoying the beautiful landscape of the Achterhoek.
Characteristic of the landscape is the Berkel, a prehistoric river that flows near Lochem. Once this river was up to 10 kilometers wide and was visited by majestic rhinoceroses who drank its water.
