This route was planned by komoot.
Great tour with sensational views because a lot of it right along the Albtrauf, only the last 2 km were picked out a bit carelessly, you walk back directly to the main road through Kohlberg to the parking lot.
A very beautiful trail. I started this morning at 6:30 a.m. I was alone for most of the way and didn't meet anyone. The beginning is somewhat reminiscent of the Alps, with constant uphill climbing. Then it's a gentle up and down through the forest. Except for the last few kilometers, where there's a bit too much asphalt. If the weather was cooler, I would change the route from there.
gardening or hiking! Unreason has won 🤣 🥾-Albvolcano edge hike. First it went from the old sports field parking lot in Kohlberg high over the Jusi and the Hörnle to the Hohen Neuffen. Short break at the viewpoint glasses above the climb and then again in the ruins. Amstetten descent to Neuffen. Bought some ice cream for refreshment and then back to Kohlberg. Beautiful high-altitude hiking trail on soft ground. The last kilometers between Neuffen and Kohlberg are paved. But through beautiful meadow orchards and you can look at the whole round again below.
Most of the elevation gain is right at the beginning, in the first 2-3 km. There's a lot of forest. You really need to be sure-footed and wear good shoes. It'll definitely be a challenge. Otherwise, it's a very pleasant walk, with a stop at Hohenneuffen Castle. It was really fun and highly recommended for ambitious athletes...👍
I've wanted to go to Jusi for a long time. Today it worked! 🌞😎 In bright sunshine from Kohlberg over Jusi and Hörnle to Hohenneuffen. Via Neuffen we go back to Kohlberg. The route follows the Gustav-Stroehmfeld-Weg and also the HW1 for a large part. Mostly on beautiful paths, only the last few kilometers between Neuffen and Kohlberg are paved. But through beautiful orchards and you can look at the whole circuit again.😉
Beautiful tour on mostly forest trails with many vantage points. The range of hills starts with the Jusiberg and ends with Hohenneuffen Castle (a stop for a piece of cake is recommended). The tour is varied, offers forest, meadow, trees, views, history and is one of my favorite tours on the Alb.
Should have checked the weather report again before the tour ... a rain jacket would not have been bad from shortly after the Jusi😅
Starting point Raupental hiking car park in Kohlberg. The hike is mainly in the forest. Beautiful partly narrow forest path along the Albtrauf. Today, apart from the Hohenneuffen, nobody was on the road. 😊
