Today we met @Daniela E. and @Wilfried E. at the Kuchalb hiking car park. It's great that you made the trip 🥰. We went along parts of the Weitblick path. But there were templates for this @Andrea🐦 or @Robert where I saw the tour. Thank you for the templates. ☺️. At the beginning of the tour the weather was still a bit grey and cold but later the 🌞 and the blue sky appeared. Dear Daniela and Wilfried, thank you for the lovely day and we'd love to do it again any time. 😘😘
Today we killed a lot of birds with one stone 👍🏻☺️ Thanks for the invitation @Annett. , thanks for shopping for me at Sankt Bernhard, then a nice walk with you and finally a visit to my mother in the nursing home in Oberesslingen ☺️👍🏻 So a successful day without rain with fantastic cloud moods 🤩👍🏻☺️🙋♀️🙋🏼
A dream tour with wonderful weather and great views in all directions and a good stop at the Tegelhof and at Mutter Franzel.
Unfortunately there were no views today😐, but there was plenty of fog. No matter. The main thing is to be outside 😄 When the sun is shining ☀️, anyone can do it.
Also works in bad weather: on mostly flat paths you have a wide view over the Filstal and Geislingen along the Albtrauf on the Tegelberg. In April, the path at the edge of the eaves is lined with a colorful sea of blossoms from wood anemones Cowslips and violets to hollow corydalis, which adorns entire slopes. Splendid. Start and finish is the hiking car park at Donzdorf-Kuchalb, where you can also stop.
My first Meet5 round along the Albtrauf, with a subsequent stop at Mutter Franzl.
Inspired by @Andrea🐦, -thank you very much-, today I went to the Kuchalb again after a long time in almost spring-like temperatures. My path first leads me to the historic restaurant "Mutter Franzl". This is named after the landlady Franziska Wagenblast, who ran the restaurant until 1920. She was a Swabian original, whose grave in the Donzdorf cemetery is a listed building. As far as I know, the restaurant has been under new management since January 2025. Unfortunately closed today. https://www.mutter-franzl.de/ We continue to the Maierhalde. From here there is a beautiful view of the 3 Kaiserrberge, the Messelberg and also down the Filstal. When I arrive at Hohenstein, via Gingen, I also have a beautiful view down the Filstal. Now I follow the Traufweg to the Klepperfels. It is a striking rock that lies directly on the Löwenpfad. However, there is not a particularly good view of the valley here. This is completely different at the next viewing rock, the Kuhfels. Here you can enjoy a beautiful view of Kuchen and Geislingen. When the visibility is good, not like today, you can see the towers of the power plant in Altbach. I follow the Traufweg to the Tegelberg refuge. From here you can see the Helfenstein ruins, the Ödenturm and the village of Weiler. As well as Geislingen and parts of the upper Filstal. We head back via the Tegelhof, which is only open on Sundays and public holidays. A self-service station has been set up for thirsty hikers and ice cream-hungry children and adults. I follow the path along the wind turbines and after a while I reach the asphalt road between Tegelhof and Kuchalb to the car park.
