This route was planned by komoot.
Setiero does not have excessively dangerous points but is very steep and poorly marked. You have to be very careful because sometimes you can make mistakes with the via ferrata, which is not suitable for everyone... very beautiful place but I recommend you simply be well trained and have some familiarity with maps.
This tour is perfect for anyone who really wants to experience it! The panorama is top-notch. The path is a bit crappy in places. The return journey, in particular, requires surefootedness and strong leg muscles. For us, it was definitely worth it.
208th hike | Monte Nerone area | Loop from Piobbico via Balza Forata and the Corsini Refuge ═════════════ 👇 Relive 👇 https://www.relive.com/view/vdORzj9jerO
We started from Piobbico on path 201, the climb never gives you a break, the route is difficult and poorly marked. You have to wade across the waterfall holding on to a rope. Once you reach the Cordini refuge, you descend along path 202 which initially seems simple and well marked, but then it starts to become steep, very slippery and in several places the path is hidden by vegetation. Night came at 5:30 pm and for an hour and a half we descended in the dark aided by headlamps. 202 is also difficult. We left at 10:30 am and returned at 7:10 pm, stopping halfway for only 15 minutes to eat. I recommend leaving early because in case of getting lost, you will avoid finding yourself in the dark or when the days are longer. Path 201 is very beautiful, the waterfall is a spectacle, but with the help of the rope you can cross it well. The perforated cliff is worth seeing.
One of the most demanding routes I've ever done, really tough both uphill and downhill, as well as for the height difference, for the path made of stones, many stones, large and small, therefore very slippery! The route is still very beautiful and the perforated crag is a spectacle of nature! Real height difference 1,220
