Waldklingen in Murrhardt in the Swabian Forest

We joined the Neuhausen SAV local group on the Waldklingen Fairy Trail hike from Murrhardt. We started above the Murrhardt cemetery. The Vorderen and Hinteren waterfalls in the Hörschbachtal valley, the Grenzstein trail, and the Franzenklinge were on our route. As the name Waldklingen suggests, it was a constant up and down. Almost all of the paths were dry and easily accessible, with the exception of a short section in the Franzenklinge.

Hello everyone 🙋 To see some more icicles 🥶 👀, I went to Murrhardt today to hike the fairy trails 🧚🏻 🏃. It had snowed a bit here too ❄️, so I walked through the forest in powder snow the whole time 🌳. There weren't any footprints to be seen until the descent to the Franzenklinge gorge 😄. So I broke trail myself today 😂. At the front waterfall 🧊, I put on my crampons and kept them on until the end of the hike 🙂. There were some more magnificent icicles 🥶 to admire 🥺. Powder snow and leaves 🍂 were a dangerous mix today 🫣, especially downhill. There were still lots of icicles at the back waterfall 💦 🥶 The Grenzsteinweg trail is always beautiful 🤩 Then came the descent to the Franzenklinge gorge, but first I treated myself to some tea with punch ☕️😋 The descent went quite well, you just had to take it slow 😉 Experiencing the Franzenklinge gorge without mud for once 😂 There were still icicles here too 🧊 Have a lovely Thursday and best wishes 🙋 also from Öpchen 🙋‍♂️

Starting point: parking lot at the cemetery in Murrhardt (for the navigation system: Waltersberger Straße in Murrhardt) - free of charge - direct signage of the fairy tracks 🧚🏻‍♀️ The first 15 minutes start with crisp meters in altitude. Then it's mostly on forest and gravel paths through dense forest. Uphill, down and flat stretches alternate constantly - a good level of fitness is still required. Also easy to do on sunny days, as the path almost exclusively runs through dense forest. We can absolutely recommend the paths of the "feenspuren". Rarely seen so well and consistently signposted paths. And every time there are several highlights along the way.

The second fairy trail and the second hike in 2025. It will definitely be wonderful in the Hörschbaschschlucht in summer. Great paths for running, inclines and variety. I liked it a lot.🧚‍♀️🌿

Hello 🙋I actually wanted to walk in the gorges in Welzheim 🏃but they are still closed 🔏so I decided on Murrhardt 😌I already did this tour on September 6th, 2023 ☺️a good choice when it's warm, as the tour is almost entirely in the shade 👏the path to the front waterfall 💦 is not passable ‼️due to fallen trees 🌳I changed my plans there and then got back on the tour 😁I'm amazed that the waterfalls still have some water 💧. You can feel the dryness everywhere 🫣 the little fairy 🧚🏻 that was hanging from a tree is also gone 🥲 it was simply pleasant to walk in the forest 🏃 we're slowly getting used to these temperatures 😎 although our circulation was better in Norway 🇳🇴 🥹 Have a nice day and best wishes 🙋‍♂️ also from Öpchen 🙋‍♂️

I had to break in my new mountain boots 🥾 before going to the Bregenz Forest on the weekend 👌 The choice fell spontaneously this morning on another fairy trail 🧚‍♀️🧚‍♂️ in the Swabian Forest 🌲🌳🌲, because I was hoping for 90% shade. I particularly liked the Franzenklinge 💦💦💦, which I also admired at @Ömchen & Öpchen 🍀 yesterday. And yet I started to sweat a lot (especially the last bit up the mountain 🥵. I've been to the lower Hörschbach waterfall 💦 twice 🤭 - at the beginning of the tour and at the end to refresh 😂Now I'm already at 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️ in the forest lake in Fornsbach 🤣 to finally say goodbye to the sweat🤗

Hello 🙋🦁Ömchen alone on fairy trails🧚🏻‍♂️I had recently admired the tour at @Lexie 👍Lexie, thanks for sharing 😘and the dear little fairy 🧚🏻‍♀️told me that she had seen Lexie, but she was closed quickly past her 🫣 I started at 🚉Murrhardt and soon I reached the front Hörschbach waterfall 💦 two nice young people took photos of me behind the waterfall (even if it doesn't quite come across that way in the photos, as it was taken from the side) 🤭 then I reached the back Hörschbach waterfall 💦 and the Gasthaus Wasserfall is probably currently being renovated 🤔 soon we continued on the Grenzsteinweg, just great (we've already walked a bit there) before we went to the Franzenklinge nunder, I took my break and Löw'i "small talk" with the fairy 🧚😁 the Franzenklinge is so beautiful again 🤩 muddy and slippery stones 🪨so be careful!!! and then I was back in Murrhardt ☺️ treated myself to an ice cream 🍦 and also a cyclist 🍻 A beautiful premium hiking trail 🧚🏻‍♀️it went up and down 😊I had to overcome a few hurdles (broken trees) 🫢it was pleasant in the forest 🌳and the sun ☀️shined through the trees, which created a special atmosphere again 😍 Have a nice evening 🙋and greetings from Öpchen too 🙋‍♂️

Today I would have wished that I had wings like a fairy, especially on the first ascent of the Waldklinge premium hiking trail. I love the gorges in Baden-Württemberg with the beautiful waterfalls. So today, the hike along the Hörschbach was great, the waterfalls impressive. Unfortunately, part of the route in the valley was closed, so I had to switch to a boring section further up. I then descended to the second waterfall at the far end. The ascent out of the gorge took forever, it felt like I was just walking uphill. But the paths were beautiful, I have never seen so many and such large branches of roots as I do today. The eternally long Grenzsteinweg was also beautiful. I was there all alone on the way, except for the meeting with a gentleman who came to meet me there and with whom I was a little chatty. The descent towards the end of the tour was done by the Franzenklinge. It was very nice there too. Since it had rained a lot the last few days, I was very happy to have the sticks with me, it was already very slippery. Otherwise a great hike that I definitely want to repeat. 🧚🏻‍♂️
