Haukankierros Trail – Nuuksio National Park

Not even an hour's drive from the capital Helsinki, Nuuksio National Park offers a unique opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a while. Several trails lead through a magical landscape consisting of quiet forest areas and wild and romantic lakes. Because it is so close to the city and easily accessible by public transport, Nuuksio National Park is ideal for a day trip. But you can also stay longer and spend the night at one of the camping spots.

Following its blue markers, the Haukankierros Trail takes you through spectacular landscapes dating back to the Ice Age. You hike through valleys and gorges for almost four kilometers and enjoy a perfect infrastructure for hikers such as the cooking hut on the picturesque Mustalampi Lake or the small café at the end of the round. From the Haukkalampi viewpoint you have a spectacular view - you can reach it via the only moderately strenuous part of the tour: a steel staircase about 30 meters long, which your dog is best climbing next to you.
