Easy circular walk around the Eisenberg. Best not to do it in the midday heat, as a good half of the route is across open areas. Most beautiful when the visibility is clear.
A very beautiful path that more than deserves the nickname Panoramaweg. Mainly it goes along the edge of the forest or across open terrain, but some of it also goes through a forest. From the underground it's often over forest and meadow paths, but also a bit over honored paths. It was fun😁
On the way in the Knüll Nature Park. A small but beautiful circuit, always at a good height and even in light rain with a view far into the Rhön. The Kurzzripp is close to home, a little hidden, but more than recommended. The municipality of Neuenstein with its highest elevation, the Eisenberg. Fantastic!!!
The first time we walked this fabulous trail, even in ice and snow and a blanket of fog. This time we're doing it again with a panoramic view and, once again, in bitter cold. 🥶 Small but perfectly formed.🤩
In the Knüll Nature Park🌿, 20 premium hiking and premium walking trails were created in the summer of 2022🥾☝🏻. Today I hiked the 16th Fabelweg out of 20👣. The last time I was on one of the trails was on March 19th of this year. The fable trails🧚 are well signposted🚏and marked and certified with the German hiking seal🏅. There are fantastic panoramas in all directions around the Knülls, the highest mountain at 636 m. Whether Vogelsberg, Thuringian Forest, Meißner or Rhön, when the weather is nice you can see far as far as the surrounding low mountain ranges on this sunny circular route. There is a particularly great view from the Borgmann Tower. High on the level of the Eisenberg, the hiking trail leads through meadows, on the steeper side of the Eisenberg it goes along the edge of the forest and through beautiful, species-rich forests. The hut at the Rhönblick invites you to linger. You can cool off fabulously at the Christinenquelle, which was first tapped in 1920. In spring, thousands of wood anemones greet hikers around the mountain inn, and in early summer you might spot an orchid in some meadows. Today, for a change, a short hike with my hiking friend Norbert on the Eisenberg fable trail. A wonderful tour over narrow and idyllic forest paths as well as paths across meadows, all of which were very well maintained. There are plenty of rest areas with benches from which you can enjoy incredibly beautiful views. We often had the feeling that we were hiking in the Rhön. Overall, a highly recommended tour.
Very nice way, it was a little cloudy for us so the view wasn't quite as full.
Slept relatively late today, but a lap in the snow was a must. So we decided to do the "Eisenberg Panoramaweg" and enjoyed the nearby "Panorama" of snow and ice. 🌫❄️ The small round triumphs on a clear day with impressive views, today, as already mentioned, it offered different perspectives and was sufficient for tired legs with the deep snow. The condition of the path can also be judged less, there are paths, meadow paths, gravel for a short time and also asphalt. A colorful mixture hidden under the snow cover. 🌨⛄️ The only drawback is that some people have vandalized the signposts. The road sponsors already point this out and bridge the repair. Nevertheless, you should keep this in mind and be prepared. 🧭 However, this does not detract from the beautiful route itself. This time a snow treat on the Eisenberg. 🤩🏔 Further information and tips at: https://www.rotkaeppchenland.de/media/touren/fabelweg-eisenberg-panoramaweg#/article/bdef2a47-4348-48d1-aa92-4fd8881ea90e
