A strenuous and beautiful tour. The ascent is very steep, there are many stairs to climb, then there is a beautiful section up to the highest point. The picnic area is beautifully laid out. The descent begins pleasantly, but the path becomes narrower, steeper and difficult with loose stones. Hiking poles and sturdy shoes are essential. Great views. In total, we were on the trail for almost 5 hours.
The start of today's tour begins with many steps and then a closed, dilapidated wooden bridge that we cross one by one. The path is quite steep at first. At the highest point, the Castelluccio, there is no summit cross, but there are benches and a table. Unfortunately, we saw a lot of rubbish on this hike... it's crazy what people throw away in nature. In Pisciotta we discovered a nice restaurant. We then went to Ascea and did a barefoot hike on the beach, which is not included in the tour recording.
easy hike in Cilento, above Pisciotta
