We approach the beautiful town of Soria, Duruelo de la Sierra; located in the Region of Pinares de Urbión. The route presented today is very simple, with hardly any difficulty, and a very short distance. From the information point, we park the vehicles, to wander northward, we immediately see the signpost for the Duero path, Gr-14. A notable forest track will accompany us for a long way until we reach the leafy pine forest. We have left behind the area called Las Huertas by the locals. Possibly many years ago they would be orchards, which many have now converted into picnic areas and leisure areas. Arriving at the pine forest, the sound of the water is very evident, we have it on the right bank of the road, the river. We continue the signage that immediately coexists with another path, that of the waterfalls, and will continue for a good stretch until we separate. The first waterfall that we will find once we are in a rocky area is La Chorlita, and a little higher up La Chorla. They are spectacular waterfalls, with the nuances of the rock make many photographers visit them continuously. We continue going up, and we find the Castroviejo framework, through which some iron pegs will facilitate our access. Arriving in Castroviejo, in the lower area, we find two beautiful signposted corners, the yew cave, and the window cave. Through a rocky alley we access the most visited area, where a visit to the viewpoint is mandatory. We follow the path, it will take us to a cave, Cueva Serena, a natural hollow, where the cattle were closed, through the middle of it a good flow of water falls, which makes it so visited, as beautiful as it is. We are not going from here to Duruelo, without going to know the via ferrata of Cuerda la Graja, it is above Cueva Serena, well signposted and equipped. Once we have seen the sports facilities, we go out onto the track again, and to the right we descend to Duruelo, although it is worth mentioning that we come across another marked path, which will take us to Duruelo over the mountains for a good stretch. We go out again to the forest track, we pass by the old slaughterhouse and return to the cars. INFORMATION OF INTEREST: As always, appropriate clothing and footwear, food and drink. It is a very simple route, it does not offer any danger, except the area of the rocks.
