... around Lake Bärwalder! With this beautiful weather and a free Sunday - attach the bike rack to the car, put the bikes on and off you go. Well, to the lake only by bike..... "I want to be twenty again and... 🤷🏼‍♂️" The circular hiking and cycling path is completely asphalted. A delight for connoisseurs. Yes, even "hardened" people were out and about - by bike, inline skates and of course on foot. It was a relaxed, relaxing tour.

This is a wonderful area. A vacation by the sea in the heart of Saxony. I definitely have to include this loop in my cycling itinerary sometime.

My wife wished for a lap around the Bärwalder See and since it's her birthday today, the wish came true. Since the parking spaces near the lake are usually unsuitable for oversized vehicles, we immediately looked for one that was a little further away and cycled to the lake and around it. It was supposed to be a pleasure tour right from the start, so we went into the race relaxed and with a few breaks We wanted to see the SkanPark, a newly built holiday resort at the port of Klitten. An orthodontist from Zittau and his family realized the project and a few other plans. Mr. Mücke was there and so we received a small private tour and some insights and information. Great thing and brave.

It was our first time at Bärwalder See and our bike rack had its premiere. We started on the Boxberger Ufer, we took a first break on the Merzdorfer Ufer and were amazed at the kite surfers. Then we went to the snack bar "Seeperle" on the Uhyster Ufer and then to the harbor in Klitten. At the lighthouse and in the bistro, we had a Baltic Sea feeling. We sat directly on the water with coffee and ice cream, with wind and waves. Not to forget the ones on the way numerous beautiful views of the lake.At the end of the trip we stayed on the Boxberger Ufer.With 25 degrees, a lot of wind and a change of sun and clouds, it was pleasant to cycle.

Bummel-Bade-Snack Round🚴‍♀️🏊‍♂️🍺From Boxberger Strand we drove towards Merzdorfer Strand, from there to Uhyster Strand. After lunch at the "Seeperle" we were in the water. It's long flat but a bit rocky with a few "creepers". We continued to Marina Klitten with the lighthouse and Mario's snack bar. The round ended with a soft ice cream 🍦 in the "awning" and then we bathed again at the Boxberger Ufer. The afternoon temperature was 26 degrees and the northeast wind blew weak to moderate. As a result, we didn't experience any high waves like last year, but we still had that Baltic Sea feeling.

The first round of 2025 around Lake Bärwalder is done! 🚴💪🥳😀 It was super beautiful as always, just a little bit chilly. 🥶😀
