Ascent on a dirt track

Highlight • Trail

This slope offers impressive views of the lunar landscape that can be enjoyed in Fuerteventura. It is recommended to go loaded with water since the sun hits a lot here and there are no fountains. As other users indicate, be careful as some cars drive fast and do not see the cyclists.

Jandía Lighthouse

Nice vantage point. Inside very informative exhibition on flora and fauna on Fuerteventura. In October 2015 unfortunately no catering at the lighthouse, but two small bars / restaurants in the nearby town

Trail Reviews

Kevin Potschien
April 24, 2023, Day 4 - Bike on Mars?

I wrapped up the last day with a smaller ride, but a bigger trip. Taking the two-hour long bus ride to Morro Jable (there's several lines and it's about 10€), you get to see the southern half of the island in its entirety. The national park is not as nice as I hoped it would be, as there's a lot of cars, especially four-wheel drive jeeps roaming the place. What you get for enduring the bumpy road and (at this point probably) sore wrists, is a beautiful view at the tip of the island, that feels like you're at the end of the world. Go explore Morro Jable once you're back and find yourself a well deserved snack.

On the way back I initially drove as close to the sea as possible. That was very difficult and I was back on the normal route after about 45 minutes
