A wonderful hike to the viewpoint called San Pedro Atxarre. It is a varied hike past little harbours, beaches and through villages with the panorama as the highlight. At the highest point, we enjoyed our home-made baguette with Jamon Iberico (with olive oil and tomato) with a great view. You have views from San Pedro Atxarra over the nature reserve, the coast and a number of villages including the lovely Mundaka (see hike 2 on the same day) Finally, we hiked to the delta area and saw the tide turn there (to high tide).
circular route Easy and simple morning walk that is beautiful at the same time, with impressive views of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve and part of the Biscay coast, and as a final prize a little bit of beach time The only "bad" thing, that on the way back from the Akorda neighborhood the road is asphalt or concrete https://www.relive.cc/view/vDqgKDmPAVq
Circular with the option of bathing in Laida. 2 h 30 m effective.
Sunday by the sea: crowded, busier, etc. What to do? Simply shift the start to the mountains! The beautiful view from Atxarre isn't part of the circular route. These 80 meters of elevation gain and the additional trail are worth it. On the way down, we found an unmarked shortcut. On the beach, as the tide rose, we had a much-needed stop. The return route was steep but scenic. Komoot's information regarding ascent/descent and highest/lowest points is completely irrelevant.
