A wonderful tour through fields, meadows, and forests, past wonderful farms in sleepy little villages. There, the world is still in order, and foxes and hares say "good night" to each other. 🤩 We took a short break in Anröchte at a small hotel and restaurant. They were really friendly to us. The nice lady made us a warm meal even though we were an hour early. We were really lucky, and it was delicious! 🍀 The route mostly led along cycle paths, but sometimes also along small country roads outside of large urban areas. Today, you could see the busy farmers harvesting, and the air often smelled of fresh vegetables and damp earth. It's a shame the sun wasn't shining today; I think it would have made the tour even more beautiful. By the way, if you'd like to pick a few apples, you can do so often along the route. There are often fruit trees where you can help yourself. We passed a few beautiful castles. However, tours are not possible as they are privately owned. At one point, you can get a reasonable view of one of the quarries.
We started our bike tour from the Rittergut Störmede on the circular route "Stones and more through the Hellweg-Börde". This project includes three attractive bike tours in the towns of Erwitte, Anröchte and Warstein, which highlight the special features of the Hellweg-Börde. Today's route took us from Störmede via Erwitte and Anröchte to Eringerfeld, Geseke and finally back to the starting point. The tour impresses with its varied route, which mostly runs away from main roads. Numerous benches along the way invite you to take a break. Only in Bökenförde is a short detour necessary due to a construction site. We clearly recommend this tour. Spontaneous after-work tour to Kliever Mill 🚴🏻 For long stretches, I followed the signposted "Stones and More" route. The sun was often with me 🌞 This resulted in some beautiful views 📸 The tour mostly leads away from the main roads, along quiet side roads and farm tracks, and also features the occasional climb. But where there's an uphill section, there's usually also a nice downhill section 😄 The temperatures were borderline - but wrapped up warm, it was bearable 😉
