This route was planned by komoot.
Whatever komoot calculated as time. It was 7:45 minutes
Nice tough walk. A large part is climbing and scrambling over rocks and stones. It is best to walk it counterclockwise as we did, then you get the most difficult part first. Follow the green route to the bottom of the mountain ridge, there you switch to the yellow one. Sometimes you have to look carefully to see if you are still on the right path. Eventually you end up on the original route of the GR20 and follow the white red markings (standard GR). The first part is described as difficult but the second part actually is too. This is because 80% of the time you walk on paths strewn with stones and tree roots. It is doable but take into account a low average speed. You need mountain boots to be able to complete this route safely. . At least 1 to 1.5 liters of water, especially when it is warm.
The last tour in the Bavella Mountains for now was really tough 😅... really only suitable for experienced hikers in the high mountains... as always, I met the slightly crazy heroes up there, with sandals or sneakers, thin jackets and Gucci bags... amazing 🙄🫣 for us it was a beautiful tour, the pictures we took can only partially reflect that... live, it's simply enough to make you fall to your knees 🤩🥰👍🏻
Magnificent climb between the needles, superb panorama at sunrise. The return by the GR 20 is uninteresting on the other hand
Magnificent site, if you are in the area do not hesitate for a moment
Absolute highlight! Make sure you take enough to drink with you, there are no huts along the way. The mini pools were our salvation.
We planned the hike so that we reached the 30% incline up Mount Paragulu after about 7 km. Even on the descent toward the parking lot, this direction made sense – a short climb with the chain was easier going up than going down. Plus, you don't have the sun directly at your back, and there aren't as many people wanting to climb the mountain straight from the parking lot.
