Tour is a modification of "Barock 14". I liked the last section away from the canals best. The old Danube-Main Canal is idyllic, but the route along the canals was a bit monotonous for me. Berching and Neumarkt are definitely worth a visit!
Nice tour. My battery ran a bit low towards the end, so there were very few photos towards the end :-( At least I have a reason to be back in the Berching area...
Today we sweated quite a bit, not because of the strenuous tour, but because of the sweltering heat... 🥵 But it was still nice, the section of the old canal between Neumarkt and Berching is really particularly nice, Beilngries is a nice little town and on the new one Canal is just so easy to drive there 😃😃
Unfortunately the battery of the phone was not enough and it was 81 km back to Beilngries
We started in summery 27 degrees, which was to increase over the course of the day. Past the baroque (!) church of Maria Hilf to Freystadt with its pretty town center, unfortunately too early for a stop. But after that there was nothing more (Monday!) until Berching, where we pounced on the first iced coffee at the market. Further fluid intake was planned in the Plankstetten beer garden, but it was closed on Monday☹️but Biberbach saved us in the smallest beer garden with 2 benches. Very nice tour and at the end our feet in the Sulz, lovely😊
