Very nice tour along the Danube and Altmühl. Started in Riedenburg and ended up stopping in the Fuchsgarten 🍻 First of all, a bit uphill and down. Crossed the Danube to Eining with the small ferry. Stopped there in the beautiful beer garden at the ferry 👍 on to Weltenburg and from there to Kelheim. Beautiful city center, strengthened with ice cream and iced coffee, then we go along the Altmühl via Essing, a stop here is worth it 👏not only because of the old wooden bridge. Then on to Riedenburg. The final stop in the Fuchsgarten rounds off the beautiful tour☀️🚴♂️🚴♀️🚴♂️🚴♀️☀️🍻
The tour begins at the foot of the Brefreiungshalle in the Wittelsbach town of Kehlheim. The Altmühltal cycle path leads to Riedenburg. We drive past the Tatzlwurm and see Prunn Castle. In Riedenburg we take a lunch break in the "Fuchsgarten" - a beautiful beer garden with chestnut trees and good quick food. For the way back we take the other side of the river to the Pfaffenloch and torture ourselves up the gallows. It goes down towards Hienheim to the ferry, but then the wind opposes us - we even had to step downhill🙈. The ferryman saw us coming from afar and was waiting for us 💪 of course a tip was due 😂. As always, there was ☕ + 🍰 in the beer garden by the ferry. Then we went to Weltenburg Abbey to take the ship through the Danube Gorge. A perfect excursion, with the best cycling weather 👍👏
