In the footsteps of the great Kammersänger "Gottlob Frick" you can walk past the Gottlob Frick memorial in Ölbronn on this panoramic hike. This varied tour combines culture and nature, offers the opportunity to get to know the great German bassist better at the Gottlob Frick memorial and to enjoy the beautiful landscape at the transition from Kraichgau to Stromberg. Gottlob Frick was born in Ölbronn in 1906 as the 13th and youngest child of a forester. The artist was awarded the Kammersänger title three times. On August 18, 1994, the "king of the German basses", as he was called in numerous obituaries, died. You can find out more about the memorial at www.gottlob-frick-gesellschaft.de. The tour started at the parking lot at the Böllstrich lakes, so that at the end there was a place to stop for refreshments. Frick Böllstrichseen - beer garden, restaurant, fresh fish and fishing. Opening hours: November to February: Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 p.m March to October: Wednesday to Sunday from 11:00 a.m Source and further information: https://regio.outdooractive.com/oar-kraichgau-stromberg/de/tour/wandern/oed2-gottlob-frick-tour-medium-tour-/30985707/

The town center of Ölbronn is characterized by many well-preserved half-timbered houses and is picturesquely located at the foot of the Eichelberg. You can also climb these on this circular tour. On the high plateau of Eichelberg there is a wonderful view over Dürrn to the northern Black Forest...

Today I set out on an autumn hike with a group of adventurous women. We started at a parking lot near Ölbronn. Since the sun was shining for the most part, we were able to really enjoy the fall colors. Soon the Aalkistensee, surrounded by colorful trees and bushes, lay in front of us. First we went on asphalted paths that were well-developed for cyclists - we soon noticed that, but it wasn't a big deal, with mutual consideration everything is possible! - and uphill with little incline. At some point we were overcome by hunger. We found a few tree trunks near a donkey enclosure, ideal for snacking. We looked for benches in vain. After that, we soon came across a pretty steep trail, and despite the autumnal temperatures, we worked up a bit of a sweat! When we got to the top we wanted to enjoy the view, but it was pretty overgrown, unfortunately! In addition, the sun was no longer visible! Over the Eichelberg with an altitude of 376 meters we went gently downhill again on forest paths. At the end the sun even came out again and we admired the last sunflowers. . . All in all, it was a nice tour through a hilly, colorful landscape!
Today, after a break of 3 weeks, another hike. My bronchi are still whistling, but my legs are working
After my wife @ 🌼verdreht🌼 had arranged to have lunch with her sister and mother for Mother's Day, I was able to go on a long-planned hike. I started at the free parking lot at the Ölbronn train station. From there, I went to the Aalkistensee, then on to Kleinvillars, past the Kleinvillars train station to the Böllstrichsee. There is a highly recommended traditional restaurant there with a focus on fish dishes. From there, my tour led me back towards Ölbronn, past the forest kindergarten to the Eichelbergkopf. From there, you have a very beautiful panoramic, wide, and distant view. I continued to the viewing platform on the Eichelberg, a nice resting spot with a shelter and a hill sofa. Thanks to the very good visibility, it was possible to see as far as the Nordschwarzwald today. I continued down the Eichelberg, past fields and meadows, past the free hiking parking lot at the Aalkistensee back to the starting point. A very beautiful round with fantastic panoramic, wide, and distant views.
Unfortunately cloudy weather today, but still nice hiking tour
Today we wanted to explore the old homeland. The ÖD1 is an easy tour without any particular difficulties. But also without any special highlights. Only the view from the Eichelberg was extraordinarily beautiful. What I found a pity was that the path mostly runs on asphalt.
