This route was planned by komoot.
I've been wanting to see Dinkelsbühl for a long time. Since the weather forecast was for quite good weather again today, we wanted to combine it with a bike ride. This time I used a ready-made tour from Komoot rather than planning it myself. I was skeptical about this route at first, as a large part of it was on roads. But there were hardly any traffic, so it wasn't a problem. In Dinkelsbühl, we got off our bikes and explored the town on foot. It's a beautiful place. Every alley is a little highlight. The cathedral is very, very impressive...definitely worth a look. We really enjoyed the tour. We will definitely visit Dinkelsbühl again and want to extend the tour into a 💯er tour.
Today, I spontaneously took advantage of the evening and pedaled up the Hesselberg. I couldn't have done any more kilometers today. Practice makes perfect, as they say. So, let's keep going.
After a week's break, I decided to do a little tour towards Hesselberg. So we set off in beautiful sunshine. It was -8 °C at first and the first stretch through the forest was completely covered in snow. Up to halfway through the route I had an extreme headwind, with up to 14 km/h. So I didn't make much progress on the tour at the beginning, even downhill, and struggled against the wind until Wittelshofen. From then on I was able to really enjoy the relatively easy tour without any really big climbs.
