El Regente Hydraulic Mill Museum

Highlight • Historical Site

This old hydraulic mill, which even has a considerable aqueduct, bears witness to the wealth that the power of water brought to the region's crops. Now it is a museum where all this history is explained and from which you also have privileged views.

Viewing platform in Los Sauces

Highlight • Viewpoint

The small observation deck can be reached in a few minutes from the center of Los Sauces. The steep climb is rewarded with a great view of Los Sauces and is certainly worth the effort.

Los Tilos Waterfall

Highlight • Waterfall

Only a tiny detour of fifteen minutes leads from the Nationalparkinfozentrum to the waterfall. Even if the case is not there, wet and spectacular is the short tunnel tour anyway. It expects a primeval scenery.

View of Los Tilos bridge

Highlight • Viewpoint

Nice vantage point on the way back from the Cascada de Los Tilos. Although the footpath is on a rarely used road, it is paved throughout and very wide.

May 5, 2023, Wanderung von Los Sauces über Mirador de las Barandas zu dem Wasserfall Los Tilos und zurück

Very nice hike on the island, all uphill at the beginning to the Mirador but the scenery makes up for it all. Everything on the island is great👍

Starting from Los Sauces, today we headed into the Los Tilos Gorge via PR-LP7.1. The last few meters to the waterfall were well worth seeing, but I had hoped for a little more from the rest of the hike. The many crosses on the small memorials on the ascent were a bit mysterious. After a short picnic and a few photos, we went back to the starting point, where we had to bravely cross a gigantic bridge just before we reached it.

The last few kilometers aren't recommended for hiking, as they're along the road. We hitchhiked 🤣
