You can't get more magical forest and jungle feeling than this! This circular hike in the Anaga Mountains leads through the mystical laurel forest in the El Pijaral nature reserve and is a very special nature experience. As the ecosystem here is truly unique and spectacular, it requires special protection, so only a maximum of 45 people are allowed to use this hiking trail each day. Reservations for the desired hiking day can be made at least 14 days in advance. You can apply for permission here: https://www.tenerifeon.es/de/wege/wanderweg/pra-72-la-ensillada-cabezo-del-tejo The hike through the fairytale forest starts at the La Ensillada bus stop on the Anaga high road TF 123, near which there are also a few parking spaces. An ascending and loamy path leads through the enchanted, densely overgrown cloud forest, which is simply breathtakingly beautiful. The trees are thickly covered with moss and lichen, and I felt like I was transported straight into the realm of fairies and elves. After a while you can admire a rock that protrudes quite prominently from the forest - the Roque de Anambro was once a sanctuary of the Guanches. The absolute highlight is the Cabezo del Tejo viewpoint, the perfect place for a break. The view of the coastline and the striking rock faces of the Anaga Mountains is really impressive. When we were there, we met lots of almost tame Canarian finches that were just waiting for our bread crumbs. Then we head back - not quite as adventurous - along a wider forest path.
Chinobre round Beautiful Kammhöhenweg through fairytale cloud forest. In fog, the hike is even more mystical. A permit is required for this hike.
Super tour:) but for the sake of the car rental company, you should definitely take a change of shoes with you!
One of the most beautiful hikes on the island. Either through an unreal cloud forest when it rains or with a fantastic view of the north coast in sunny weather. It is essential to apply for a permit, otherwise it will be really expensive!
