Path no. 3 of the Euganean Hills Regional Park. If you are looking for a moderately demanding excursion, this is the right choice and touches on several panoramic points, including the Mottolone plateau near Arquà Petrarca.
Beautiful route, with wonderful views and places
Loop excursion on the Euganean Hills starting from Arquà Petrarca (free parking at the sports field, otherwise among the paid ones, the closest to the beginning of the path is the Ventolone rest area). The path is marked with the number 3, it develops on comfortable paths that are always well marked and do not present technical difficulties. Recommended tour for the beautiful landscapes.
This route gives the opportunity to admire the different landscapes of the southern part of the Euganean Hills. The path is very well marked along its entire route. The paths bear the traces of this year's torrential rains, but they are all passable.
The classic route of path number 3 but starting from Valsanzibio. Plus a very small detour to reach the top of Monte Orbieso and a cut before Arquà Petrarca to avoid an interruption of the path (reported by the Park Authority) in Valleselle.

A ring of continuous ups and downs among the Colli Eugeni, crossing hills and saddles: all things considered, it accumulates 21km in length and 1000m of altitude difference. Not bad. Often stony paths alternate with comfortable dirt roads, among orderly vineyards and olive groves, with beautiful views of the gentle slopes of the hills: a landscape that reminded me of Tuscany. Probably in spring and autumn the tour is even more worthwhile. The official departure of the Sentiero Atestino is Arquà Petrarca (not Valsanzibio, as per my tour): the best part is between Monte Fasolo and Pianoro del Mottolone, with suggestive bucolic paintings and particular Mediterranean environments; the worst part is between Arquà Petrarca and Valsanzibio, with an interminable climb and a monotonous single-track. A few too many asphalted connections. Stop in Arquà, always an unmissable gem.
