Beautiful path through the mountains

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Nice section. One should anticipate the tours between Cala Mesquida and Cap Ferrutx. There is no civilization for miles, and the sun shines relentlessly on the helmet. The trails are beautiful, sometimes challenging. A lot of water and a power bank for your cell phone are essential here, so that you do not experience any unpleasant surprises when the forces suddenly subside.

Torre d'Albarca

Highlight • Monument

The Albarca tower is on a cliff that gives you spectacular views. It is a defense tower built in 1751 to monitor the maritime area between Mallorca and Menorca, because at that time the island of Menorca belonged to the British.

You can climb the tower via some steps (it's dark, so it's best to bring a flashlight). At the top, you can see one of its old cannons.

September 27, 2024, Torre de Albarca — circular desde Artà — Parque Natural de la Península de Llevant

The part between the beaches is not suitable for a bike. Especially not with a battery 😅 1 hour of pushing and carrying. Even for hikers it is demanding. I won't do it again. I was completely exhausted! But the rest of the route was really worth it. I packed my swimming trunks. Also a power bank, cereal bars and plenty of liquid.
