Bernacca move aside right away…after an in-depth study of all the weather sites to find the perfect time window, the perfect area, and waited at the bar in Piovene Rocchetta waiting for the rain to stop….excursion it was! Climbing to Mount Summano from the Santuario Sant’Angelo, we managed not to get even a drop of rain and to enjoy a very green, fragrant, peaceful and silent forest. A few clear skies here and there to admire the panorama, valleys and mountains, games of clouds and sun. At the top a gigantic crucifix, the protagonist in a curious pose, is called the Christ who greets.
Hello to all. I recommend this itinerary because it is rich in history (it was used by the Girolimini friars) and surrounded by nature. There are no technical difficulties: it is still a continuous climb up to the middle. The return can be done by the same path, the cai 459, or you can return as I did from the cai460, a path that at the beginning is in the middle of the woods, made of ladders, and then ends in a carriageway that leads first to Barchi locality and then arrive at the angel, the starting point.
