With 1865m we have reached the highest point for this year. Just the right height for us, not only to walk through scree, but also to see green around us. In the Lessini National Park we started at the parking lot in San Giorgio. Then it was a round tour, first to the Malera pass and then back via the Cima Trappola. On the way back two or three deep craters could be seen. The whole area was covered by the sea tens of millions of years ago. Hardly imaginable. The round offers no difficulties and is recommended. A little more sun today wouldn't have hurt. ☀️🤔 LG Sven 🧔 PS: Who knows the type of beetle in picture 1?
A circular hike starting from San Giorgio, the climb begins immediately until reaching Cima Trappola, the highest point in the entire Lessinia area, excluding Carega. The hike is beautiful and offers breathtaking views. The section of the trail leading to Cima Trappola is particularly steep, but the rest is not very exposed, making it fairly easy and accessible to everyone. It takes about 3 hours, but offers breathtaking views.
On Boxing Day, post-binge guilt begins to bite and you have to atone for it with a trek close to home. Here, after lunch, we set off from the foggy plain without too much hope of finding good weather at high altitude... and instead we find ourselves in one of those magical days in which we walk on the sea of clouds and the sunset paints the landscape with impossible colors .
easy tour in exploration for new adventures....
Classic tour from San Giorgio to Cima Trappola, going up from Malera and going down the former Valon ski slope passing by Castel Gaibana. Simple but panoramic excursion and, these days, not very crowded.
