The Zauchbach-Weg is a romantic hiking trail through the mystical Zauchwald with impressive forest flora. You walk along the rushing, varied mountain stream that gives the hiking trail its name until it flows into Lake Zauchensee.
From the starting point for the Altenmarkt-Zauchensee Tourism Association, the route initially runs flat over gravel and takes you past the wooded Schlatterbergweg. From there the path leads a short stretch over asphalt on Michael-Walchhofer-Straße to Wetterkreuz and on to Mühlenweg. The Mühlenweg is a slightly ascending forest path that joins the Zauchbachweg and takes you to the town of Zauchensee.

To get back to the starting point of your tour, you can either take the Salzburger Sportwelt bus (with a guest card it only costs one euro) or you can walk back the same way.
