"Central Lessinia" Magnificent landscapes surrounded, in the distance, by the Veneto plain, the long Monte Baldo mountain range, the Adamello glaciers, and the peaks of the Little Dolomites. We begin at the Bocca di Selva refuge (1,550 m), also a base for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing in winter. We continue upward until we reach the highest peak: Monte Tomba (1,770 m) with its two refuges, which offer a truly 360° view. Yes, we continue, descending westward. The Lessinia appears in all its expanse, bare of every tree, undulating and expansive, until we reach the Rifugio Podestaria. After leaving the mountain hut, the road heads down into the Folignani forest, descending slightly more steeply, heading directly to the bottom of the upper Vajo dell'Anguilla (1,370 m). We climb up the opposite side, returning to the starting point. The Bocca di Selva refuge, managed by Matteo, is a safe and welcoming destination for its friendliness and delicious food. Alternatively, the Monte Tomba refuge and the Podestaria refuge are also good options.
A nice walk, be careful because part of the path is blocked during the winter for cross-country skiing and therefore you have to lengthen the path a bit!
