This route was planned by komoot.
The weather forecast predicted a thunderstorm at 1:00 p.m. So the tour was planned accordingly. Along the way, we picked up two people from Ostheim in the Rhön region, and from then on, the five of us rode together. Unfortunately, I didn't press "start" until I got to Es Capdellà, so I'm missing a bit of the tour. Sascha knows an insider tip for the Coll de Sa Gramola, which, with gradients up to 20%, was quite a challenge for us. From here, we took a brand-new road down to Antratx and continued straight on to Sant Elm without stopping. I was promised a delicious ice cream there – closed today – I know. Anyway, a coffee break and then back to Paguera via Port d'Andratx and Camp de Mar. There hasn't been a thunderstorm yet, just after six.
After Elmo had gotten some Nutella from the Nutella dispenser in the morning, he wanted to go on a bike ride, preferably to Sant Elm(o).
The last day on the bike. After the lightning and thunder during the night, another bright day. A lovely short ride to Sant Elm. A must-do in Mallorca.
Rental bike Trek Domane. 2318k. Bright, warm and sunny. Tourist exploration. Surprisingly often roads are in bad condition and at times busy car traffic. -- myWindsock Report -- Weather Impact: -0.8% Headwind: 44% @ 7.2-9.5km/h Longest Headwind: 34m 30s Air Speed: 17.5km/h Temp: 25°-28.6°C Precip: 0% @ 0 Inches/hr -- END --
Of course it started to rain heavily before the start. No matter, the bike was set up, shit, I forgot my helmet in the room. Up again, back to the basement, shit, I forgot my glove. Whatever, I'm leaving now. Heavy rain, traffic, I can't see much through the cycling glasses, the navigation system is doing something because of the raindrop commands, how could you lock the screen again? So nothing but Mimimi, the matching street was included for free, see picture. Sant Elm was quite nice, half an hour in the café lifted the mood a bit, then the rain let up, eventually stopped completely, the route became beautiful. You can give yourself the coastal detour at the end, and the sun came out when you arrived at the hotel. The Hürzeler mechanic gave the bike a wash. It works!
