This route was planned by komoot.
You can access the trail from multiple points, including Grande Pevero Beach, the Pevero Golf Club, Cala Liccia, and Romazzino. These various access points allow for customized excursions. Parking availability may vary by starting point, but Grande Pevero Beach is a common and convenient option.
The trail is generally dog-friendly, allowing you to enjoy the walk with your canine companion. However, it's always recommended to keep dogs on a leash, especially given the presence of Mediterranean scrub and potential wildlife, and to clean up after them.
The trail is especially recommended during autumn and spring for the most enjoyable experience. During these seasons, the temperatures are milder, and the Mediterranean vegetation is vibrant, offering pleasant conditions for hiking.
No, there are no specific permits or entrance fees required to access and hike the Pevero Health Trail. It is freely accessible to the public.
The trail's difficulty ranges from easy to medium. While the entire panoramic loop walk is generally classified as moderate and suitable for most skill levels, some sections, particularly the 'Pevero Cala Trail,' involve significant gradients. Good fitness is recommended for these parts, but many sections are suitable for beginners and families.
You can expect a diverse landscape featuring Mediterranean scrub with juniper, mastic, myrtle, and wild olive. The terrain includes a mix of dirt roads, rocky paths, and ancient tracks. You'll enjoy spectacular views of the Gulf of Pevero, crystalline waters, white sand beaches like Grande Pevero Beach, and distant islands like Li Nibani. Some sections also run alongside golf courses.
Key points of interest include the beautiful Grande Pevero Beach, a scenic Coastal path to Poltu Liccia Beach, and unique Red Porphyry Rocks. The summit of Monte Zoppu also offers magnificent panoramic vistas of the Costa Smeralda. Additionally, you'll find historical sites like Lu Rotu and the Stazzo di Monte Zoppu.
Yes, the trail is divided into two main routes: the 'Energy' path (about 7 km), which features 11 fitness stations with exercise tools, and the 'Relax' path (also about 7 km), which follows ancient tracks and dry stone walls. These options allow you to tailor your experience based on your preferences for activity or tranquility.
The trail itself is primarily a natural path, and while it passes near beaches and golf clubs where facilities might be available, there are no dedicated water sources or public restrooms directly on the trail. It's advisable to carry sufficient water and any necessary supplies with you.
Given the moderate difficulty and varied terrain, you should bring comfortable hiking shoes, plenty of water, sun protection (hat, sunscreen), and snacks. Depending on the season, a light jacket might be useful. Don't forget your camera for the panoramic views!
Yes, the Pevero Health Trail is designed as a panoramic loop walk, allowing you to start and end at the same point without retracing your steps. This makes it convenient for exploring the diverse landscapes of the Emerald Coast.
A bit too much bush and hedge, but with some very nice spots in between. At the end we were caught by a somewhat more active rain cloud 😅 But it was a welcome relief.
Beautiful route. Be careful on the seaside, we were blocked. Follow the path carefully
Beautiful route and certainly not too difficult. It is important that you visit the highlights, such as the beaches and the absolute recommendation the path to the Madonnina. From the path itself there is not much to see because you walk between the vegetation. We started from Golfo del Pavera and walked it around.
Today we went to the Monti Zoppu, at the beginning the path was too boring for us, but when we had passed the last beach, we started between the rocks up to the Monti Zoppu. I'm just saying MEGA. Highly recommended for anyone who likes climbing units. Not suitable for children and some Alpine experience required, as well as sturdy shoes. The plants here on the right and left are not particularly friendly either, rather very snappy and in a bad mood. Contrary to the little man's who keep crossing your path. We wish the next visitors a lot of fun. PS: take plenty of water with you
Beautiful tour, we changed the Komoot tour we had chosen a little. When we were at the summit, we discovered signposts that showed a different route (otherwise we would have had to go back a bit along the same route). In some places the path could only be found with a lot of imagination and cairns, but the path was also marked on Komoot and we always found it. It was fun, even when we had to climb up ropes and abseil down. Again and again, great!!!
