Today we went through the Walsumer Rheinauen. Starting on the Rhine dyke, there was a decent oxygen shower, but as soon as we got to the "backcountry" it was much calmer. No highlight, but a nice little Sunday round, in which the weather also played along to some extent.

Small holiday round in the Walsumer Rheinaue. There were a lot of animals to see and hear... 🐑🐄🦢🐸🐰🦆🐛🦋🐝🐞🥰

We actually thought that we could already see the new Emscher estuary, but that will probably take a while. It is currently blocked off by a fence in front of the old estuary.

Way back through the Rheinaue Walsum, even more cows, a few coypus and very dry ponds. Then we passed the Seeadler nature reserve, but no sign of eagles 🦅 …

A very easy hike, bike ride or go for a walk. I started from the commercial enterprise at Kaiserstr. or there I parked my car. If one of the commercial enterprises the Kaiserstr. briefly along under the underpass, immediately afterwards the path goes right into the forest. You can also park your car here. I immediately turn left at the …
