Häckeberga Mill (Ruin)

Highlight • Historical Site

The ruin of the Häckeberga mill is a perfect place for a picnic and exploring the area. You can sit on benches along a burbling stream. The mill itself is great for a picture. The inhabitants of Genarp call the ruin Vannmöllan.

The mill is first mentioned in writing in 1624. It was probably located on this site long before that, as it was already considered old in the 1700s. The mill also served as a farm with a residential house, stables and barn and consisted of three floors of bricks on a greystone foundation. It had three mills and two crushers.
