Schäftlarn Abbey

Highlight • Religious Site

The current monastery buildings were erected from 1702 to 1707, as the original structures were in very poor condition. Next to the monastery, the abbey today houses a grammar school and a boys' boarding school. The monks run agriculture, forestry, and a schnapps distillery. The products can be bought on-site in the monastery shop. The inn Klosterbräustüberl is also located on the monastery grounds.
