The summit offers a wonderful and far-reaching view over the Dolomites and the Alta Pusteria. After climbing to the summit from Gasthaus Mudler Hof, continue on path no. 31. You can then descend directly to the Taistner Alm or extend the tour to the Durakopf (2,276 meters in altitude).

The best way to start the trek on the Durakopf from the slightly lower lying Lutterkopf, which comes from the Taister Sennhütte. This hut is very popular for its excellent food, friendly and helpful staff, magnificent views and easily reachable along a dirt road. In winter you can go down comfortably by sled. It is also a crossing point for skiers heading towards the Durakopf. There is also a convenient car park before the start of the dirt road near the last farms, which already takes us up to altitude, thus reducing the difference in altitude.
With the MTB, having arrived at the mountain hut, you can continue towards the Durakopf and reach the panoramic peak with a short stretch of shoulder.
