Erbach Castle

Highlight • Castle

The park is a green gem in the heart of Erbach, directly at the castle. The café is a highlight for itself: there are delicious, homemade cakes.

Erbach Market Square

Magnificent downtown. However, I would explore the city on foot, with a bike you are more likely to be on the train. At least it works like that.

March 6, 2022,Wildpark-Weg Brudergrund Runde bei Erbach
When the weather was very nice, we were on the culture and adventure trail near Erbach in the Odenwald.
The varied circular hike leads through the romantic Brudergrund with its wildlife park, up to the Mossauerhöhe, then on to the Sophienhöhe and back through the old town of Erbach 👌🌟🌟

Erbach is a lovely little town.
The paths through the forest are easy to walk even after weeks of rain.
A very beautiful area.
The FREE Brudergrund Wildlife Park was another highlight at the end of the day. Great for kids.

We walked from the Erbach train station to the "Not Gottes". Then through the Brudergrund wildlife park in the direction of Roßbach. Over meadows and fields went up to the Mossauerhöhe. Via the Galgenberg you then come to the Silberbrünnchen, Sophien Tempel and Sophienhöhe

In the beginning light drizzle we went up to the wildlife park where the sun was already waiting for us.
Further up out of the forest, the specified tour led us into a dead end. At the end, the official hiking trail was integrated into a horse paddock. Really great. So we had to turn around and look for a …

When we realized a few days ago that we hadn't been to the Brudergrund in ages, our goal was clear.
Parking: Sportpark Erbach
Down to the market place with a detour to the bakery, then on the Brudergrundweg. The Brudergrund is a small wildlife park (a popular destination when I was a child). In addition to the game reserve, there …

Today we went straight from the hotel towards Wildpark Brudergrund. It costs nothing and we didn't see any animals at first. But later we saw a few, unfortunately no mouflons. There are some signs and benches next to the wildlife park. There is a lot of information about flora and fauna on the signs. Besides, we had beautiful rapeseed fields, …

Actually, yesterday we wanted to go to the Black Forest with my girlfriend, her husband and their dog, but unfortunately she had to cancel for health reasons.
So we went to Erbach yesterday and had a nice day there.
Of course, by coincidence 😂😂 another wildlife park 🦌🦌🦌🦌 was there. Besides dogs, I'm also an absolute deer 🦌 fan …
