At the beginning of September 2022, the Grumbacher Teich had so little water that the waterfall was just a trickle.

Beautiful route along the stream and through quiet forests

Nice varied tour. Everything revolves around water here. At the end of the tour in Hahnenklee we ate a nice waffle.

We set off at 9 a.m. 😉 and the landscape is still shrouded in a fine mist. A mystical atmosphere accompanies us for the first few kilometers and, apart from a few dog lovers with their four-legged friends, we are almost alone. The path leads past the Bockswiese with its historic water wheel and, after a short climb, steadily downhill …

At breakfast, Hahnenklee is still shrouded in thick fog, but afterward, it promises to be a pleasant day – let's go.
We're planning a detour to Wildemann for a bite to eat; the café at Kuttelbacher Teich is currently closed.

First big Harz hike of the year, and I immediately wrecked a smartphone. It didn't survive the fall from 3 m height directly onto a Harz rock. Luckily, I always carry a spare phone.

It was a nice tour with a lot of water splashing and noise! The last rest of the way just before Hahnenklee is not in good shape, was very muddy and small broken bridges.. But it works. And sheep that there was no possibility to drink a coffee in Wildemann.

A super nice hike first along the Grambach with tree nature trail, past the Grambacher Teich, Oberer and Unterer Spiegeltaler Teiche with beautiful hiking trails!
We recommend! 🌝

Probably the classic round from Wildemann. Past streams, lakes and waterfalls 🌊 on great hiking trails to Hahnenklee 🐓 and back. Some sections are very muddy and good footwear is essential!
