This striking viewpoint along the ridge path is one of the highlights of the route in Prokletije National Park. It offers a spectacular panorama of the surrounding mountains. Particularly impressive is the unobstructed view of Veliki Troyan and the striking Talijanka (Maja e Vajushes), whose silhouettes stand out sharply against the sky. This spot invites you to linger and offers a striking experience of the wild alpine landscapes of the "Cursed Mountains."

Popadija Peak

Highlight • Summit

The Grbaja Valley is one of the most impressive in the Balkans. A 30-minute transfer leads to a narrow valley wedged between the karst towers of Karanfili (2,461 m). It is probably one of the most rugged and dramatic peaks of the Prokletije and a dream of many climbers. A last steep ascent leads up through a shady, fairytale beech forest to the twin peaks of Popadija and Taljanka (2,056 m). The route traverses the narrow ridge to a series of lookout points back onto the shady forest trail where the balloon hike ends. Celebrate the adventure with a cold drink in a beer garden on the valley floor before heading back to the guest house in Vusanje.

A spectacular tour lies behind us. The first 3/4h it was steadily rising and desolate through a beech forest. After that, the forest opened and gave a view of the Dinaric mountains, with a fantastic backdrop 🤩 Several peaks were then climbed via a tightrope walk. Exhausting but beautiful ♥️

Correction 1040hm and 11km.

Wondeful hike: 5 peaks and a ridge. We did it for the first time with a 5 yo and a 8 yo. Challenging but doable
