Ascent to Chli Aubrig

Highlight • Climb

For me, the most beautiful climbs lead from Euthal to this beautiful summit. Unlike the approach from Sattelegg, the tour is also possible using public transport.

Fantastic view – on the one hand the Lake Zurich area, on the other hand the Inner Schwyz mountains!

If you don't have enough of the Chli Aubrig, you could still go to the Gross Aubrig, also always worth seeing 🤗

Of course, stop by the Wildegg Hut when it's open. It's always nice there.

Out of the parking lot you head straight up hill on a paved path, then onto gravel and eventually the trail. The first half of hike was dry, steep uphill but very nice. It was partially cloudy so I didn't have great views of the mountains, but from what I could see on a clear day this would be beautiful. …
Today's hike was a Komoot recommendation from the "nearby" section and was described there as a moderately difficult hike. What for us! So we set off.
We follow the assessment up to the Alpwirtschaft Wildegg (highly recommended for a rest)... from there the tour deserves to be called “difficult” or “adventurous”.
Steep descents over stones and roots, over trails, through …

"Everything north of here is so flat," my hiking buddy and I agreed. We were therefore surprised when we drove north and walked this route. A relatively easy climb to a relatively low mountain top, from where we had fantastic views of the snowy Alps. Recommended!

Early in the morning we set off for chli Aubrig, the view was fantastic and the weather was bombastic 😎. On the way back there are still some snowfields where good footwear is recommended. Otherwise, good for hiking.

A tale of two sides. The walk from the parking lot to the Alp Wildegg was beautiful, dry, enjoyable walking. From the Alp back to the parking lot was a muddy mess with slipping, sliding, and mud galore!

The wildflowers and views were spectacular, well worth the mess. Would do the loop again after these rains finally stop!
Highlights:

Chli Aubrig
Fantastic view of the Schwyzer and Glarus Alps, Lake Zurich and Lake Sihl.

Nüssen
Great view of the surrounding mountains and the valley.

Much more challenging and time-consuming due to the snow. Overall a nice tour with lots of good views, which is certainly more relaxing in summer and when there is no snow.
