September 28, 2024,🇨🇭 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️-Tour nach Lodano / Maggia
We took advantage of the warm, sunny day for another bike ride into the Maggia Valley.
It's nice that the route leads almost exclusively along signposted bike paths.
After that we were able to use the pool 🏊‍♀️ again.
Now it's time for typical Swiss camping food: Raclette🧀 outdoors.

In bright sunshine we went back to the Maggia Valley and there was still enough time for the pool.

This stage is simply fantastic, not too strenuous and I can only recommend it

Take the 315 bus from Locarno Statione to Maggia. Go down there on the bike path. In between, swim in the ice-cold water at a suspension bridge. Wonderfully refreshing, the path is always separate from the street.

Something so great and hardly anyone around at Easter - incomprehensible, but it was actually like that!

Showing Translation

Together with friends by bike 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️ from the campsite to Locarno and then up the Maggia Valley to the Ponte Brolla.
There is a beautiful lake with a sandy beach and a waterfall.
Then on to Maggia and there on foot to the Cascada del Salto, a particularly beautiful waterfall.
On the way back we had to mend a tire. …

With your own muscle power 💪 into the Maggia Valley. Great river landscapes, bridges and beautiful mountain panorama. Swimming stops possible.
In total it was 51 km.

Showing Translation

From Tenero to Locarno and on the cycle path along the Maggia to Ponte Brolla, from there on the railway cycle path to Maggia, partly through forest and beautiful Ticino villages. A beautiful tour to recommend
