Narrow streets and narrow, high houses characterize the medieval old town of Diessenhofen. As a thoroughfare leads through the old town, be careful with the bike.

The short detour across the bridge is worth it. Immediately after the bridge, turn left to a parking lot. You'll be rewarded with a wonderful view of the Schaffhausen riverbank and the fortress.

September 1, 2021,Stein am Rhein - Diessenhofen -Rheinfall-Retour
Stein am Rhein with historic old town. Diessenhofen with a large wooden bridge. place is very nice. The Rhine Falls at Burg Laufen are impressively beautiful. The return via the other (German side) was easier to drive. We chose the round tour perfectly for us.
The 2nd country tour was fantastically beautiful.....🚴🏽‍♀️🚴🏽‍♀️

We cycled from Stein am Rhein or actually Camping Wagenhausen on a beautiful cycle path to Dissenhofen on the left bank of the Rhine and then changed over a very old bridge to the other side and again on a great route to Schaffhausen. The cyclists are well signposted to the Rhine Falls. About 2 km down the Rhine there …

A varied circular tour on the Upper Rhine, starting from Stein am Rhein, goes up and down towards the exclave of Büsingen (island in Switzerland, picture 15). Take your time and use the short trails along the route to enjoy the great nature on the Upper Rhine.

Büsingen is a German village within Switzerland."

A few quick facts about it:

Beautiful landscape and beautiful places on the Rhine. But don't follow along with an eBike in exactly the same way: at the small pedestrian bridge near the waterfalls you have to carry your bike up a number of stairs and even after that there was a long stretch on the bike until Schaffhausen was forbidden, so pushing was the order …

Today we cycled Dagmar's bike tour. Very beautiful. Thank you very much for sharing. Stein am Rhein, the entire city center is an eye-catcher. If you should be in the vicinity, an unconditional recommendation.
The round was very scenic. Always a place with half-timbered houses. The Rhine Falls were gigantic. An absolutely impressive one
natural spectacle. The way back went …

Through picturesque landscapes to the gigantic Rhine Falls. The town of Stein am Rhein with its beautiful old town is also worth mentioning.

A really nice late summer tour along the High Rhine. There were wildly romantic corners, great forest paths, cool bathing bays and incredibly beautiful views.👀🤩
The cycle network in Switzerland is well developed and despite the high volume of traffic in Schaffhausen, you always felt safe because the cycle lanes were always marked separately.
The highlight was of course going …

Admittedly, we didn't pedal the first 270 meters up to Klingen Castle ourselves. A small train runs to the completely preserved fortress in the summer, which still stands today as it was built in the 15th century. The view from up there of the townscape of Stein and the still slightly turquoise Rhine is incredibly beautiful. Equally beautiful is the …
