Dream weather exploited 🌞 From the Sachrang parking lot via the forest road to the service hut. There the Jägersteig begins in the direction of the Schreckalm. Always a great view. Continue via the Sulzingalm and then towards the summit. The last piece from the pines was very icy. Luckily I had the Grödel with me. At the top you …

In fantastic weather ☀️ from the 🅿️ Huben over the Jägersteig and the Schreckalm towards the summit. ⛰️. The view was a dream 😊👍. On the way back we stopped at the Priener Hütte for a small isotonic drink 🍺. Then continue the descent via the gravel road and the Grünbodensteig. In any case, a wonderful tour 😊.

It's a long walk from the free Huben car park to the Geigelstein summit, but it's a lovely walk. I walked up the forest road to the Priener Hut, which is open all year round. From there, the paths are more or less steep, and the last few meters are gravelly and through the pines. When I reached the summit, …

After my wife has NEVER been on the Geigelstein, it finally happened today.
The classic par excellence - a round trip up the Schreckalm and down over what is probably the most famous hut in Chiemgau.
Just in time for lunch we were at the Priener Hütte (open all year round - closed on Mondays and Tuesdays) and enjoyed ourselves …

Another region today, from Huben to the Geigelstein. Had sun all day and at the top a wonderful view of the Inn Valley to the Kaiser Mountains, the Mangfall Mountains, the Kampenwand and the Berchtesgaden Mountains.

Phew, what a week 🤯! It's a bit hard to get myself going today, but just in case, I've arranged to meet the kid in Rosenheim this evening. That way, my lazy bones 🐷🐶 won't stand a chance, none at all! So, off to Chiemgau 🤩. I've been wanting to climb the Geigelstein for a long time, and I'm not …

Today's rather late tour started at the cross-country skiing/hiking car park near Innerwald. The path parallel to the trail was as smooth as glass, I've never put on my crampons so early🙄 (everything had already thawed in the evening 💧). The next 150m or so were also quite slippery and partly icy, and a lot of snow had already started …
