From Heimbach, the route goes through the forest to an impressive sandstone quarry, then on great forest paths you reach the vineyard landscape with beautiful views of the Reinebene, Kaiserstuhl, southern Black Forest..., the second half of the tour is mostly on asphalt paths, but the views make up for it.
